Everything you need to know before stepping on the mats.
Athletic clothes that you can move in. Avoid clothes with zippers, buttons, or pockets. We have loaner gear (gloves, shin guards) for your trial.
Water bottle, towel, and a change of clothes. We have filtered water stations and towels available if you forget.
Please arrive 15 minutes before class starts to complete a quick waiver and get a tour. We'll introduce you to the coach.

Not at all. Most of our members started with zero martial arts experience. Our fundamentals classes are designed specifically for beginners, and coaches will work with you at your own pace.
Safety is our priority. Training is always controlled, and beginners are never forced into live sparring. Minor bumps and bruises happen, but serious injuries are rare when training properly.
No. This is one of the most common misconceptions. Training martial arts IS the workout. You'll get in shape by training. Just show up and do what you can. Your conditioning will improve rapidly.
For beginners, we recommend 2-3 times per week. This allows your body to recover while building skills. As you progress, many members train 4-6 days per week.
MMA classes combine all aspects of fighting. If you want to be a complete fighter, take MMA. If you're more interested in a specific art (like BJJ or Muay Thai), you can focus there. Many members do both.
No. Sparring is optional and you won't be asked to spar until you're ready. Many members train for months or years without sparring. We'll let you know when you're prepared if you want to try it.
For your trial, we provide loaner gear. If you join, you'll eventually need a mouthguard, gloves, and shin guards. For BJJ, you'll want a gi. Our pro shop has everything, and coaches can recommend what you need.
No long-term contracts. We offer month-to-month memberships. We also offer a 10% discount if you choose to pay annually, but it's not required.
Yes. Life happens. If you need to take a break for travel, injury, or personal reasons, we can freeze your membership for up to 3 months per year.
Yes. We have members of all genders training together in a respectful environment. We also offer women-only classes on the schedule for those who prefer that option.
