Structural steel to stainless pipe. Heavy plate to ornamental iron. If it's metal and it needs to be fabricated, welded, cut, or formed, this is where you call.
Engineered steel structures for commercial and industrial construction. Fabricated to AISC standards with complete documentation and traceability.
Structural steel fabrication is the core of what we do. We work from engineer-stamped drawings or design-assist alongside your structural engineer to produce the steel package your project requires. Every piece is marked, tracked, and documented for site erection.
We fabricate wide-flange beams, HSS columns, channels, angles, base plates, and connection hardware. Weld procedures are qualified per AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code. Our CWI (Marcus Vega) performs in-process and final inspection on all structural work before anything leaves the shop.
Ornamental iron work built to your design and finish specifications. From estate driveway gates to commercial stair railings.
Custom railings and gates are where craftsmanship shows. Clean welds, tight miters, consistent lines. We work in square tube, round tube, flat bar, angle, and solid rod. Designs can range from simple and modern to elaborate traditional ironwork with scrolls and collars.
We handle fabrication and finishing in-house. Finishing options include mill finish, brushed, black powder coat, custom powder coat colors, and hot-dip galvanizing through a local partner. Installation service is available in the greater Houston area.
Engineered skid packages, process platforms, and equipment support structures for oil & gas, chemical, and industrial applications.
We fabricate structural skids that serve as the base and support structure for compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, control panels, and other process equipment. Skids are built to your GA drawing, equipment loads, and any applicable codes (ASCE, API, etc.).
Work scope typically includes the structural skid frame, pipe supports and guides, equipment anchor locations, grout holes, and lifting lugs. We can coordinate with equipment vendors on anchor bolt patterns and nozzle orientations to keep your project on track.
Carbon steel, stainless, and alloy piping systems fabricated to your isometric drawings. Pressure testing and documentation available.
We fabricate pipe spools from your isometric drawings. Work includes cut, fit, and weld of all pipe components per your piping specification and applicable code. Materials are traceable to mill certificates. Weld procedures are qualified per the applicable welding standard.
Derek Okafor leads all pipe fabrication work. He is certified to ASME Section IX and has 12 years fabricating piping for oil, gas, and chemical clients. Hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing is available in-shop. Radiographic and ultrasonic testing is coordinated through our certified third-party NDE partners.
Heavy equipment repair, structural modifications, agricultural machinery rebuilds, and emergency weld repairs. On-site service available in the Houston area.
Not everything is new fabrication. Sometimes equipment breaks, structures need modification, or old ironwork needs a new life. Repair and modification work requires a fabricator who can look at what's there, figure out the right fix, and execute it cleanly.
We handle repairs in our shop or on-site with our Lincoln Ranger engine-driven welder. For structural modifications, we review existing conditions before quoting so there are no surprises when the grinder comes out. We've repaired everything from dozer undercarriages to antique wrought iron fencing.
Decorative and functional steel elements for interior and exterior commercial and residential spaces. Where industrial craft meets design intent.
Architectural metalwork sits at the intersection of fabrication precision and design sensitivity. The welds need to be clean because they're going to be seen. The dimensions need to be exact because it's fitting into a finished space. We take this work seriously.
We work directly with interior designers, architects, and property owners to produce custom elements that meet both the design vision and the structural requirements. Shop drawings are provided for all architectural projects to confirm dimensions and details before fabrication begins.
Every job at Ironweld is held to documented quality standards, not just personal pride. Our processes are structured so quality doesn't depend on any single person having a good day.
Marcus holds an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential, which means he's qualified to examine welds to code requirements and document the results. Most small shops don't have this capability in-house. We do.
We maintain WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) and PQRs (Procedure Qualification Records) for all common material and process combinations. When a job requires code-qualified welding, we have the paperwork to back it up.
Send us your drawings, describe what you need, or just call the shop. We'll let you know if we're the right fit and give you a straight number.
