Common Questions

We know visiting an emergency vet is stressful. Here are answers to the questions we hear most often.

Yes, if possible. Calling ahead allows us to prepare for your pet's arrival, have the right team ready, and give you instructions on how to safely transport your pet. However, if you can't call -- just come. We will never turn away an emergency.

Bring any medications your pet is currently taking, your pet's vaccination records if available, and a form of payment. If your pet ingested something toxic, bring the packaging or a photo of the substance. Most importantly, bring yourself -- your pet needs you there.

Yes. We send a detailed summary of your pet's visit, including diagnostics, treatment, and follow-up recommendations, to your regular veterinarian within 24 hours of discharge. This ensures continuity of care and helps your primary vet pick up right where we left off.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash, and checks. We also work with CareCredit and Scratchpay for financing options, and we accept all major pet insurance providers. Our front desk staff can help you apply for financing on the spot. We always provide a written estimate before beginning treatment so there are no surprises.

It depends entirely on your pet's condition. Some emergencies are resolved in a few hours with treatment and observation. More critical cases may require 24 to 72 hours of ICU care, or longer for post-surgical recovery. We'll give you an estimated timeline as soon as we have a clear picture of your pet's needs, and we'll update you regularly.

You are welcome to stay in our waiting area for as long as you'd like. During initial triage and active treatment, we may need to take your pet to the treatment area where owners are not permitted for safety reasons. However, once your pet is stabilized, we can often arrange visits. For ICU patients, we schedule visiting hours and will always keep you informed by phone or text.

Don't Wait. Call Now.

If your pet is experiencing an emergency, every minute counts. Our team is standing by 24/7 to help.
