Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I pump my septic tank?

For most households (2-4 people), we recommend pumping every 3-5 years. Larger families, homes with garbage disposals, or properties with heavy water usage may need pumping every 2-3 years. We'll measure your sludge levels during service and give you a personalized recommendation.

What are the signs of septic problems?

Watch for slow drains throughout the house (not just one drain), sewage odor inside or outside, wet spots or unusually green grass over the drain field, gurgling sounds in your pipes, or sewage backing up into the lowest drains. If you notice any of these, call us before the problem gets worse.

How long does septic pumping take?

A typical residential pumping takes 30-60 minutes once we're on site. This includes locating the tank access, pumping the contents, doing a basic visual inspection, and cleaning up. We'll be respectful of your property and leave the area clean.

Do I need to be home during the service?

For routine pumping, you don't need to be home as long as we can access the tank. We just need the tank access uncovered or need to know where it's located. For inspections, installations, or repairs, we recommend being present so we can walk you through our findings.

Do you handle permits for new installations?

Yes, we handle the entire permitting process for new septic system installations. This includes the soil testing, system design, permit applications, inspections, and final approval. You don't need to deal with the health department or building office. We take care of all of it.

What areas do you serve?

This covers Greenfield Township, Cedar Hills, Millbrook Township, Green Valley, Oakwood Heights, Pine Ridge, River Bend, Summit Lake, and Hartwell. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, just call and ask.
