Common Questions
Bath & Brush appointments typically take 1-1.5 hours. Full grooming appointments range from 2-3 hours depending on your pet's size, coat type, and behavior. We never rush. Your pet gets our full attention for as long as they need.
Yes. For your pet's safety and the safety of other animals in our salon, we require current vaccinations. Dogs need rabies, distemper, and bordetella (kennel cough). Cats need rabies and FVRCP. Please bring proof of vaccination to your first appointment.
While we understand the desire to watch, most pets actually behave better when their owners aren't present. We have a viewing window where you can peek in if needed. We also offer before and after photos so you can see the transformation.
We specialize in anxious and difficult pets! Please inform us about behavioral concerns when booking. We use patient, low-stress handling techniques and can provide extra time. For severe cases, we can recommend calming aids or suggest discussing sedation options with your vet.
It depends on breed and coat type. Short-haired dogs: every 8-12 weeks. Long-haired or double-coat breeds: every 4-6 weeks. Cats: every 6-12 weeks for long-haired breeds. We'll recommend a schedule based on your pet's specific needs.
We'll assess the matting and discuss options. Light matting can be brushed out (may incur additional time charges). Severe matting often requires a shorter cut for your pet's comfort and safety. We never brush out mats that cause pain or skin damage.
Absolutely! We're certified in feline grooming and understand cat body language. We groom long-haired breeds, seniors who can't self-groom, and cats with matting issues. Our gentle approach makes even grumpy cats tolerate the process.
We ask for 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) may incur a $20 fee. No-shows are charged 50% of the scheduled service cost. We understand emergencies happen and handle these on a case-by-case basis.
We accept cash, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex), and debit cards. Gratuities for exceptional service are always appreciated but never expected. Payment is due at the time of service.
Currently, we operate exclusively from our salon location. However, our facility is designed for comfort and reduced stress. Many anxious pets actually do better in our calm, professional environment than in the unfamiliar setting of a mobile van.
