TrueCoat started in 2014 when Ryan Chen left a national painting franchise because he was tired of cutting corners. The company prioritized speed over quality, used cheap paint, and skipped critical prep steps. He knew homeowners deserved better.
He started TrueCoat with one simple rule: do the prep work right. That means sanding, caulking, priming, and patching before any color goes on the wall. It takes longer, but the results last three times as long as a rush job.
Today, TrueCoat has a crew of 14 trained painters and has completed over 2,800 projects. We use Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams exclusively, and every job comes with a 5-year warranty. We are still a small company by choice. That is how we keep our standards high.
