Upload your drawings and tell us about your requirements. We'll have a detailed, itemized quote back to you within 24 hours — from engineers who actually read the print.
We'll review your requirements and respond within one business day. Fields marked * are required.
We accept STEP, IGES, DXF, DWG, SolidWorks (.sldprt, .sldasm), Parasolid, and PDF. Native CAD files allow us to generate toolpaths directly and are preferred. PDF is fine for quoting but we'll request a CAD file before programming. Send files to quotes@precisionworks.com or upload via the form above.
Standard quote turnaround is 24 hours on complete RFQs with drawings and material specification. Rush quoting available same day for urgent programs. Lead time for prototypes is typically 3–5 business days. Production quantities vary by complexity — most production programs run 2–4 weeks from PO.
No minimum. We quote one-piece prototypes regularly and encourage engineers to come to us early in development. Single pieces are priced to reflect actual setup time, so they cost more per part than production runs — but we'll tell you exactly what that is up front.
Yes. We've been AS9100D certified since 2011 (originally AS9100C). We support first article inspection per AS9102, material traceability, ITAR-controlled parts, and full documentation packages. We're on the approved vendor lists of multiple aerospace primes and Tier 1 suppliers.
Standard shipments include a Certificate of Conformance and material certifications. On request, we provide full dimensional inspection reports (ballooned to drawing), AS9102 first article inspection packages, SPC data for production runs, and PPAP documentation at Level 1, 2, or 3. All certs are signed and dated.
Absolutely. We execute NDAs regularly for customers with proprietary designs. Email us at quotes@precisionworks.com and we'll have our standard mutual NDA back to you within a few hours. Alternatively, send us your NDA and we'll review it. We take IP protection seriously.
We regularly machine aluminum (6061, 7075, 2024), steels (4140, 4340, 17-4 PH, A2, D2, H13), stainless (303, 304, 316, 17-4), titanium (Ti-6Al-4V), Inconel 718, copper alloys, and engineering plastics including Delrin, PEEK, UHMW, and nylon. If your material isn't listed, ask — we've machined a lot of exotic alloys over 35 years.
Yes, and we encourage it. Our engineering team reviews every new job for machinability before programming. If we see a feature that will drive cost unnecessarily — a tolerance tighter than needed, a thread depth that's a problem, a surface finish callout we can't meet efficiently — we'll call you before we quote. We'd rather discuss it early than surprise you with a high price.
