Our Story
StormGuard Gutters was founded in 2013 by Ryan Mitchell after he watched a neighbor deal with thousands of dollars in water damage from neglected gutters. The fascia boards were rotted, water had seeped into the foundation, and mold was growing behind the siding. All of it could have been prevented with a simple gutter cleaning.
Ryan had been working in construction and roofing for years, but that experience changed his focus. He realized that most Portland homeowners did not think about their gutters until it was too late. So he started StormGuard with a simple mission: keep Portland homes dry and protected, one gutter at a time.
What started as a one-person operation with a truck and a ladder has grown into a three-person crew that has serviced over 8,000 homes across the Portland metro area. We still operate with the same philosophy: show up on time, do thorough work, document everything, and charge a fair price.
