Before You Call

Answers to the questions we get most often. Still have one that's not here? Call us.

How long will my repair take? +

It depends on the extent of the damage. Minor dent removal and spot paint jobs are often done in 1–2 days. A full front or rear end reconstruction involving structural work, panel replacement, and paint typically takes 7–14 business days. We give you a time estimate upfront, and if the timeline changes due to parts availability or discovered damage, we call you before adjusting the schedule.

Do I need a rental car? How does that work? +

If your claim includes rental coverage (most collision claims do), we coordinate the rental directly when you drop off your vehicle. Enterprise picks you up from our shop. Your insurance is billed directly, and you pay nothing for the rental until you hit your daily limit or time limit. If you don't have rental coverage, we can get you a preferred rate through our local partner agencies.

Should I go through insurance or pay out of pocket? +

It depends on the cost of the repair relative to your deductible, and whether you're concerned about a rate increase. For minor damage under $1,000, paying out of pocket often makes sense. For anything significant, insurance typically saves you substantially. We'll give you an honest assessment of repair cost during your estimate so you can make an informed decision before you file anything. We never pressure you either way.

What does "direct repair facility" mean for my insurance? +

Being a preferred or direct repair facility for an insurance company means we've agreed to certain processes that allow the insurer to skip sending an independent adjuster to your vehicle. In practice, this speeds up the approval process considerably. We submit the estimate digitally, they approve it, and we start work. You're not required to use a direct repair facility — you always have the right to choose your own shop, regardless of what an insurance representative tells you.

Is my repair actually warranted for life? +

Yes. For as long as you own the vehicle, any defect in materials or workmanship from a repair we performed is fixed at no charge. This covers paint adhesion, panel gaps, structural repair, and anything else we touched. The warranty does not cover new damage, wear and tear, or damage caused by subsequent accidents. If you sell the vehicle, the warranty transfers to the new owner.

Can I get an estimate without bringing my car in? +

You can submit photos through the form above and we'll give you a preliminary estimate. Keep in mind that photo estimates can miss hidden damage that's only visible once the panel is removed. For any structural damage or significant collision work, we strongly recommend bringing the vehicle in so we can assess it properly and give you a more accurate number before we commit to any timeline or cost.

Will my car look exactly like it did before? +

That's the goal every time. Our computerized color matching reads your vehicle's actual existing paint — not just the factory code — and adjusts for weathering and fade. On modern vehicles with complex paint systems like tri-coat metallic or matte finishes, we blend the repair into adjacent panels as needed so the color transition is invisible. We don't release a vehicle until we're satisfied with the match.
